I came up with the concept for ECG Protect following the deaths of 2 close friends. The 1st was in 2018 & my childhood friend who was 40 at the time and relatively fit with no known health issues died of a heart attack in the shower.

Then in November 2023 another close friend died in his sleep at 45yrs old. Again no known health issues. This frightened the life out of me as the single incident now became something much more than that.

Fast forward to today December 2024 I began researching the problem, which I have discovered is a whole lot more prevalent than a I had ever thought.

Hence the birth of ECG Protect!

Our sedantary lifestyles & poor diet are increasing our risks of heart conditions which are becoming more prevalent in younger people.

We don’t receive regular screening & if we are screened these are a point in time snapshot of our current heart health, but this can change very quickly.

ECG Protect has been setup to enable more regular screening and alerting to often unnoticed events PLUS to improve education about heart health which will reduce the likelihood of a life changing event.
